Rest as a Sacred Practice: A Yoga Nidra Mini-Retreat

With Serena Roschman

Are you tired and worn out? Feeling stretched thin, depleted, or disconnected? You’re not alone — and you don’t have to keep pushing.

Join us for some sacred rest.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient meditative practice, passed down for over a thousand years, that guides you into a state of conscious rest — a place between waking and sleep where deep insight can emerge.

In this 2-hour online mini-retreat, we’ll explore how rest can awaken wisdom, stoke creativity, and nourish your deepest intentions. You’ll learn about the roots and purpose of Yoga Nidra, as well as the modern neurobiology that helps explain why it works — and why it’s so needed.

We'll then move to an experiential portion that blends gentle movement, restorative stillness, and deep practice to help you both understand and embody this powerful form of rest and regeneration. A key part of the practice includes identifying a sankalpa — a heartfelt intention — and planting it deeply within, where the wisest part of you can hold and nourish it. We’ll also make time for discussion and questions, offering space to connect and explore together.

You’ll be guided through:

✨ A short teaching on the history, benefits, and neurobiology of Yoga Nidra

✨ Breath-centered movement to prepare the body

✨ Restorative postures to soothe the nervous system

✨ A full 45-minute guided Yoga Nidra practice

✨ A quiet journaling session for integration

Sign up by May 10 and receive a small care package in the mail — thoughtfully curated to enhance your experience and support your rest.✨

Yoga Nidra is one of the deepest, most transformative practices yoga has to offer — and yet it’s beautifully accessible to all. Even if you’ve never meditated before, this practice meets you right where you are, inviting you to soften, listen, and be gently restored.

Whether you’re brand new to the practice or returning to it, you are warmly welcome.

You bring the intention. I’ll hold the space for you to rest deeply.
