6-Week Online Series with Serena Roschman
The concept of consciousness is central to yoga and meditation, and yet it remains one of life’s greatest mysteries. Is consciousness a fundamental building block of the universe, like gravity? Can it be located in the brain—or does it extend beyond? Do plants have consciousness? And what do quantum physics and the Many Worlds theory suggest about the nature of awareness?
In this 6-week online series, we’ll explore these questions through two complementary lenses:
Science, with weekly selections from Lights On by Annaka Harris, an audio documentary featuring interviews with leading experts in neuroscience, biology, and physics.
Yoga, with classical and Tantrik teachings that describe awareness as the luminous ground of experience—the light through which all else is seen.
Each week, you’ll listen to a short audio segment from Lights On before class. Then, we’ll gather as a group to unpack the ideas together, weaving them with yogic philosophy, guided meditation, and gentle movement.
Rather than offering fixed answers, this series opens a spacious field of inquiry—where science and yoga meet in wonder, and ideas become felt experience.
