By Lantern Light: An Autumn Yoga Nidra Mini-Retreat

With Serena Roschman

The noise of the world keeps getting louder. The path ahead can feel shadowed. The forest grows dark. Yet there is a way to see more clearly.

In yoga philosophy, one metaphorical lantern is the concept of viveka — the power of discernment. It’s the capacity to recognize what is relevant and true, what is no longer needed, and which step to take next. Viveka helps to clear the mental space we need to move through life with steadiness and ease. It doesn’t come from overthinking, but from allowing the mind to settle until what’s essential comes into view.

When we rest deeply, the sediment of thought and fatigue can settle, and awareness becomes clear. From that clarity, choices become simpler — not from urgency, but from a grounded knowing.

Join us for By Lantern Light — an online Yoga Nidra autumn retreat where ancient practice and grounded embodiment become a doorway to rest, discernment, and a more spacious way forward.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient meditative practice, passed down for over a thousand years, that guides you into a state of conscious rest — a place between waking and sleep where insight can emerge with ease.

In this session, we’ll explore viveka through journaling, breath-centered movement, and gentle restorative shapes. We’ll also practice letting go of what is no longer relevant, needed, or true — creating space for what truly matters. You’ll be invited to reflect on what’s ready to go and what you’d like to invite in, letting this clarity illuminate your next steps. Then, with a clear and heartfelt intention, you’ll rest in a deeply nourishing 45-minute Yoga Nidra session — planting your intention in the fertile ground of your most receptive self.

This two-hour mini-retreat includes:
✨ A short teaching on viveka, the yogic art of discernment and inner clarity
✨ A gentle, breath-centered movement practice to prepare body and mind
✨ A letting-go practice to release what no longer serves
✨ A journaling session to explore what you wish to illuminate in the season ahead
✨ A 45-minute guided Yoga Nidra practice to plant your intention and rest deeply
✨ A curated playlist to create a serene, autumnal atmosphere
BONUS: A recorded version of the Yoga Nidra practice to revisit anytime

🍂 Register by Monday, August 18, to receive a special care package in the mail, lovingly assembled to support your practice.

Yoga Nidra is one of the most deeply restorative practices yoga has to offer — and yet it’s beautifully accessible to all. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned practitioner, this practice meets you right where you are, inviting you to soften, listen, and be gently restored.

You bring the intention. I’ll hold the space for you to rest and see clearly.
