A four week, online in real time series led by Serena Roschman + Adam Grossi
Spring is a season of beginnings — a time when new possibilities emerge and the energy of growth returns. In many traditions, Ganesha is the figure invoked at the start of any new undertaking. Known as the remover of obstacles and a fierce protector, Ganesha is also understood as the placer of obstacles when they are needed for growth and transformation. In this way, he is a guardian of thresholds, helping clear the way for what is ready to unfold.
In this four-week series, we will take a philosophical and experiential approach to immersing ourselves in the world of Ganesha. Together we will explore his iconography and stories, look at the history of his presence across a wide range of traditions, and learn about Tantric approaches to practicing with his energy.
Each session will include somatic and meditative practices designed to help us sense and invoke the qualities Ganesha represents — clarity, courage, protection, and the opening of new pathways.
No specific belief system is necessary to engage with this material. Our approach will be exploratory and experiential, and we will leave space in each session for the direction of the series to be partly shaped by the interests and questions of the group.
